Già dalla sigla il D3020 richiama direttamente al pezzo di storia di NAD che risponde la nome di 3020. Come quello anche il nuovo si propone com un piccolo tuttofare, compatto nelle dimensioni (può stare orizzontale o verticale) ma ricco di tecnologia e possibilità d'uso diversi.

Computer, smartphone, sorgenti audio digitali e analogiche, il D3020 offre a tutti gli ingressi giusti per diventare un hub potente e versatile: ingressi cablati digitali in formato USB, ottico e coassiale, analogici in formato RCA e mini-jack ai quali si aggiunge lo streaming wireless per Bluetooth aptX. Uscita pre-out specifica per subwoofer attivo con sezione di equalizzazione. Disponibile sul frontale l'uscita cuffia. Sezione di conversione che permette di gestire file digitali con bit-rate 24bit/192kHz sugli ingressi ottici e coassiali, 24bit/96kHz su quello USB. Potenza di 2x30 watt su 8 ohm e 2x65 su 4; grazie alla tecnologia Power Drive (tipica degli amplificatori analogici di NAD) la potenza dinamica arriva a 2x150 watt su 2 ohm. In questo modo i picchi dinamici vengono riprodotti con il giusto impatto e potenza.
