All'epoca del suo debutto, l'MK 10 si impose sul mercato internazionale grazie a soluzioni ingegneristiche e funzionali uniche, che univano le funzioni di un amplificatore domestico a quelle di un mixer professionale:

Mixer integrato a 5 ingressi: Gli ingressi stereo sono completamente miscelabili tra loro.
Potenziometro panoramico (Crossfader): Permetteva la dissolvenza incrociata fluida tra due diverse sorgenti sonore.
Preamplificatori modulari plug-in: Ogni ingresso poteva essere equalizzato e adattato singolarmente inserendo specifiche schede elettroniche dedicate.
Strumenti di monitoraggio: Sul frontale spiccano i VU-meter analogici collegati direttamente al segnale d'ingresso per monitorare i livelli audio.
Controlli di tono sdoppiati: Gestione separata di alti e bassi per i canali destro e sinistro.
